Dome Nut (Cap Nut)

Dome cap nuts, also known as acorn nuts, feature a closed rounded end that covers and protects the exposed end of a bolt or threaded rod. This domed cap prevents thread damage from accidental contact and protects the bolt end from corrosion, moisture, and contamination. They also provide a neat, finished appearance to visible fastener assemblies.

Manufactured from mild steel with zinc or chrome plating, dome nuts are widely used in furniture manufacturing, automotive interior trim, equipment guards, and decorative metalwork where the bolt end must be concealed for safety or aesthetics. Available in MS and SS 304 material options to DIN 1587 standard.
