Half Thread Stud

Half thread studs (also called tap-end or double-end studs) feature a short threaded section on one end for screwing permanently into a tapped hole, a plain shank in the middle, and a longer nut-end thread on the other.

Widely used in high-temperature flanges, pipe joints, pressure vessels and heavy machinery where one end must be permanently fixed and the assembly must be easily disassembled from the nut end.
